Sangeeta Prasad, MA, ATR-BC
Sangeeta Prasad, MA, ATR-BC, has over 25 years of experience working as an Art Therapist with children and adults who have serious mental illnesses and other disabilities. Sangeeta currently has a private practice and provides art therapy supervision at Circle Art Studio, in Virginia, USA. She is also a Director on the Board for the American Art Therapy Association. She has published two books, “Creative Expressions: Say it with Art” and “Using Art Therapy with Diverse Populations, Crossing Cultures and Abilities." She continues to share her passion for art therapy through presentations by coordinating the Indian Art Therapy Discussion Forum (IATDF) which she established in 2015. She has presented at the American Art Therapy Association as well as at several institutions in India and other countries. Patricia Isis, PhD, ATR-BC, ATCS, LMHC
Patricia Isis, Ph.D., LMHC, ATR-BC, ATCS, holds a doctorate in the expressive therapies with an emphasis on art therapy. Additionally, Dr. Isis is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and a board certified registered art therapist and certified Mindful Self Compassion teacher. She currently provides full time services in the public school system while maintaining a private practice. She also taught mindfulness-based stress reduction classes for a large urban hospital since 2000 and has integrated several art therapy tools within the curriculum. She now offers mindfulness training in her private practice. Dr. Isis is a nationally and internationally known speaker in art/expressive therapies and mindfulness.


Mindfulness has become popular with the advent of scientific evidence validating its effectiveness in mental health and well being. In this workshop, attendees will participate in meditation and art-making practices to inspire the integration of mindfulness and self-compassion tools personally and professionally.
