Nancy Gerber, PhD, ATR-BC
Nancy Gerber, Ph.D, ATR-BC,is a Clinical Associate Professor at Drexel University where authored and formerly directed the Ph.D Program in Creative Arts Therapies. She is also a visiting scholar at Florida State University Dr. Gerber has published and presented nationally and internationally on art therapy assessment, doctoral education, mixed methods, and arts based research. Dr. Gerber was the first recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award from the AATA.
Jennifer Schwartz, MA, ATR-BC, ATCS
Clinician, educator, artist and advocate, Jennifer is the Department Chair of Undergraduate Art Therapy at Ursuline College. Former Executive Director of the Art Therapy Studio, Jennifer has 24 years of clinical and supervisory experience in medical settings. Jennifer currently serves the Education Committee as the Chair of the Undergraduate Sub-Committee.

HLM from New York Art Therapy Association & New England Association of Art Therapists. Past Associate Editor of Art Therapy Journal, Journal Editorial Review Board, past Journal Advisory Board member. Member Conference Review Committee. A published author, frequent conference presenter, and exhibiting artist, she has successfully mentored 250+ thesis research studies.
The purpose of this panel is to initiate a discussion about the impact and implications of the expanding education continuum in art therapy. The education continuum refers to the progression of, inter-relationship between, and impact upon the interactive levels of education from undergraduate to doctoral levels of education.
