Jennifer Schwartz, MA, ATR-BC, ATCS
Clinician, educator, artist and advocate, Jennifer is the Department Chair of Undergraduate Art Therapy at Ursuline College. Former Executive Director of the Art Therapy Studio, Jennifer has 24 years of clinical and supervisory experience in medical settings. Jennifer currently serves the Education Committee as the Chair of the Undergraduate Sub-Committee.
Katrina Carroll-Haskins, MA
Katrina Carroll-Haskins is an art therapist and educator. She is currently a PhD candidate and research fellow at Drexel University. She has worked therapeutically with groups and individuals diagnosed with autism, dementia, intellectual disabilities, chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma, and sexual offenses. Her research interests include art-based supervision, professional identity development for art therapists, and innovative technologies (VR, AR) and their applications to art therapy practice.
This Focus Group continues the 2015 initiative to provide a forum for discussion on undergraduate art therapy education as an important contributor to the field of art therapy. This session also presents the AATA Undergraduate Education Subcommittee report on best practices for undergraduate education.
