Mary Roberts, PhD, ATR-BC, ATCS, LPC-ACS is the Program Director and Associate Professor of the Graduate Art Therapy and Counseling Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Roberts has over 22 years of experience as an art therapist and art therapy educator.
This study implemented a post-intentional phenomenological approach to the inquiry of the career decisions of racial/ethnic minorities leading to the selection of art therapy as a career. The perspectives of 10 racial/ethnic minority members regarding their career choice of art therapy will be shared.
