Vance’s professional interest and personal expertise focuses on creating art and providing workshops to her community and globally to effect social change. Through various mediums and some unconventional methods Vance uses her art to heal, to express, and to give back. Vance uses a trauma-sensitive approach in her practice with youth and families in community based, educational, and clinical settings.

Charlotte Boston, MA, ATR-BC, LCPAT
Charlotte G. Boston, MA, ATR-BC, LCPAT, has provided art therapy services to psychiatric inpatients of all ages for more than 29 years, including the military. She served on AATA committees and the AATA Board of Directors. She has presented and published in art therapy. She is President-elect of the Art Therapy Credentials Board.


This course chronicles two art therapists' journeys into entrepreneurship and private practice. Participants will gain insight in developing their professional identities through the business of art therapy and by diversifying income streams. The course will culminate in the creation of a creative business model, 6-month plan, and elevator pitch.
