Carrie Ishee, M.A., ATR-BC, LPAT, LPCC, PCC is an art therapist, clinical counselor, life coach, and adjunct faculty member of Southwestern College. She has an art therapy practice specializing in trauma and addictions and a national coaching practice. She is author of "Speak to Me, Persephone: a Memoir of Trauma and Transcendence.
The ancient myth of Persephone exemplifies how healing from traumatic life experiences can lead to post-traumatic growth including greater awareness, courage, compassion, wisdom, connection, and purpose. Participants will learn creative techniques to stimulate growth so clients can thrive rather than just survive.
