SeungYeon Lee received her Master's in Art Therapy from New York University. She also earned Ed.D in Art and Art Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on community-based art therapy programs for at-risk immigrant children and families. She currently works as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Art Therapy Program at Long Island University.


This presentation will discuss therapeutic benefits and ethical challenges of a school-based art therapy program that addresses urgent mental health issues of students who easily engage with peer violence and bullying. Culturally responsive art therapy directives will be also discussed.
