Megan Van Meter, LPC-AT, ATR-BC, studied under the creators of the Expressive Therapies Continuum at the University of Louisville. She provides art therapy services for a school district near Austin, TX and offers art-based professional development to psychotherapists. Megan has served both the AATA and the ATCB through committee work.
Maria Riccardi, MEd, MA, ATR-BC
Maria Riccardi, M.A., M.Ed., ATR-BC, is a certified art therapist, a licensed career counsellor, a psychotherapist and a practicing multimedia artist in Canada. She is an adjunct professor at Concordia University and at UQAT. Her research interests include media properties and their role in assessment and the ETC.
This workshop will introduce the Expressive Therapies Continuum as a framework for art therapy assessment, treatment, and supervision. It will provide ETC-guided art experiences to help participants translate information into assessment data, formulate treatment goals, and create art interventions. Art-based supervision guided by the ETC will be highlighted.
