Nora Swan-Foster is a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist who practices as a psychotherapist and Certified Jungian Analyst in Boulder, Colorado. Her art therapy research with pregnant women was published internationally and she is also the author of "Jungian Art Therapy: A Guide to Dreams, Images and Analytical Psychology" published in 2018. Within the Naropa University Graduate art therapy program, she has taught several graduate art therapy courses since 1995. Nora is a senior training analyst with the local Boulder Jung Seminar (BAJA) and is active with the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. Nora has presented and published on various art therapy topics including use of art therapy with pregnant women. She is on the North American editorial board for the "Journal of Analytical Psychology."
Carl Jung’s dedication to the image is evidenced by his own art work and development of a theoretical model based on the creative process. Jung’s model of the psyche with his methods of working with the unconscious will be discussed and how they can be used in clinical work.
