Libby Schmanke, MS, ATR-BC, ATCS, LCAC, MAC, faculty at Emporia State University’s graduate art therapy program for 17 years, served for the ATCB for over 12 years. She is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor with 25 years’ experience whose book, Art Therapy and Substance Abuse, was published in 2017.


Ault was a founder of the AATA, had an art therapy career that spanned nearly five decades, and was a prolific artist; samples of his art will be shown. The presentation will highlight his lesser-known manuscripts and his directive notebook, as well as his unique model for studio private practice.
